Untitled Documentary

This film will provide a new perspective to Robert D. Putnams 2000 novel Bowling Alone through a highly contrasting community in the countryside of England. The documentary will follow the players of a pub's darts team through to their leagues games. Unlike the U.S., where the rise of capitalism and corporatism have decreased the number of after work bowling teams, these players meet up after work throughout the year for their darts, badminton, and cornhole teams. These are all held at their only local pub in Colyton, The Kingfisher. The documentary will interview the players and their families, and follow a few of their work days as farmers, fishermen, builders, and pub owners. The saying "never judge a book by their cover" holds extremely true here as these men are one of the kindest, most hardworking group of people I've ever met. Their lives may seem quiet or simple, but this documentary will show viewers so much more.

She

I'm hoping to make this into a 15 minute short film and then expand it into a feature length film. This will be a tribute to the Salem witch trials although that won't be made clear till the end. It will follow new girl in town, Sarah, who is introduced by her only friend, Will, to his group of guy friends. When hanging out, breaking news comes on saying there is a haunted forrest that "no women comes out alive." As a challenge, they decide to camp there so that the guys would be able to protect her. As soon as they arrive, things are off. The movie will show how the same male mentality from the Salem witch trials results in the death of women.

Our Eyes

To the song "Damn Your Eyes" by Etta James this short film will follow a couples first dance at a bar separated by snapshots of their relationship that progressively gets more abusive.  Eventually the girl accidentally kills her boyfriend and seeks her friends help to cover it up and burn the body.
